So, I paint my nails pretty regularly these days. I also work as a barista/cashier pretty regularly these days. A few weeks back, I had a customer come in, a fairly typical, sheltered, suburban soccer mom, and she ordered a latte from me. She saw my brightly colored nails and said, “Wow, you’re so brave! My son asked me about painting his nails, and if it’s okay for boys to do that. Now I’ll tell him there’s a cool guy who does it too!” It was a nice moment, very cute.
Then, last week, she came in again, and said, “Hey, I’m so glad you’re here! I want you to meet someone!” She then brings her son forward, and says, “Okay sweetie, show him what you did!” And he throws his hands up, showing off his bright, sparkling blue nails. He shows them off, and I show mine off to him. He smiles. We fist bump.
Guys, I’ve only wanted to cry once at work before, and that was when someone ordered a large dry soy cappuccino on ice.
This time, though. This was a good cry.
Slenderman Cosplayer from Nekocon 2011
This guy omg he legit stood outside in the cold November weather. For hours, in the same spot. It was just creepily awesome. This man had commitment. So many props. I took a few shots of him but it was difficult (dim lighting)and i didn’t want to get too close to him because he seemed peaceful. UuU Lol imagine a Karkat taking pictures of a Slenderman. lol the hell. Anyway I really wish i could give proper credit to the cosplayer :C but he’s unknown. What if it wasn’t a cosplayer.
NONONONONONONONONO DON’T SAY THAT IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN A REALLY DETERMINED COSPLAYER
No like what if it was a statue. A mannequin.
You’re a ghost driving a meat coated skeleton made from stardust, what do you have to be scared of?

so i was watching the news and this 2nd grader wrote this to the president, vice president, and a congressman. biden was the only one to respond yet. LITERALLY.
Let me tell you a thing.
Hate is having strong feelings towards something. Obviously in a negative way.
You can both not hate something and also not like it. Know what this is called? It’s not indifference, because that would imply you don’t care if it is or is not in your life. It’s disinterest, because you think the something is a waste of your time.
You don’t have to hate something you disagree with. You don’t have to be that kind of person.
perfect, just perfect.
Every time I see how much Will and his son get along I get a little teary-eyed, thinking about how Will’s own relationship with his dad was absolute shit. This is a man who learned from his darker past to make a brighter future.
